Today, the beautiful Lamorna valley is heavily wooded on both sides, but in the first half of the 20th century, it was agricultural land. Cattle, sheep and pigs were grazed and crops of daffodils and early potatoes were grown. We can see a farmer and his horse ploughing the land, the remains of a large bonfire is smouldering in the centre of the field.
