This is an affecting work. It hints of suppressed emotions and the hardships of the lives of the fishing community. It is painted in a doorway which was often portrayed in Newlyn scenes, and was exhibited at Penlee House & Gallery, Penzance in The Brotherhood of the Palette exhibition in 2009.
