A local boat, clinker built (overlapping planks) and of about 16 ft, out lifting crab pots made of willow. Note the use of stones to make the pots sink and the sculling notch on the stern of the boat. Sculling is a technique that enables one man to propel the boat with one hand on a single oar, useful whilst working a handline or within a small harbour.
